Slab leaks in historic mill buildings
Why it happens here
The original pipes in the mill buildings were often run under the concrete slab. Over decades, the copper or galvanized pipes corrode and develop pinhole leaks. The high water table near the Tar River accelerates this.
Our approach
We use acoustic listening equipment and thermal imaging to locate the leak without breaking the slab. Then we reroute the line through the ceiling or walls to avoid future slab leaks.
